Dermaplaning can be done monthly (depending on your hair growth). This allows time for the skin to regenerate and the vellus hair to grow back. (average upkeep 4-6 weeks)
Avoid the sun and use spf daily to protect your skin daily (EVERYDAY RAIN OR SHINE). Avoid makeup application for 24 hours post treatment. avoid working out, steam or saunas. try to avoid any contact with chlorine (swimming pools/ jacuzzi) post treatment. Use a gentle cleanser and products for the first 24-48 hours post treatment. Use soothing and hydrating skin care products and avoid touching the treatment area. Don't use any harsh exfoliators for a week after treatment.
to get ready for your event we recommend scheduling your treatment 24-48 hours prior. We recommend doing it in the week of your event for best results!
A common concern is that more hair will grow back thicker however, dermaplaning does not touch the hair follicle and will not stimulate thicker hair growth.
dermaplaning can be done alone or added on to a facial or other service. The whole treatment takes about 30 minutes to start to finish.
it is absolutely safe for most people with very little risk or side effects. the only possible side effect on this treatment is slight redness, which fades almost immediately.
